Manual Operated

Secure Surrounds can offer two types of manual roller shutters:

Push Up / Pull Down - ideally suited to smaller openings where the usage is more limited. These are usually fitted using a pin lock.

Hand Chain Operation - these roller shutter doors are manually raised via a continuous haul chain, ideally suited to industrial premises. All hand chain roller shutter doors are supplied with a chain keep that hands the haul chain in position ensuring that the door cannot open.

Power Operated

Secure Surrounds can offer three methods of power operated roller shutters:

  1. Single Phase Tubular Motor Operated - ideally suited to commercial premises for the use on shop fronts and doorways where the usage is limited. The doors can be operated via a rocker switch, a key switch or remote control hand held transmitters, available through Secure Surrounds.
  2. 3 Phase Power Operated - ideally suited to industrial doors needed for heavy duty usage such as loading bays and car parks. The roller shutter door is raised via a 3 phase, 415 volt,  electric motor utilising either a flange mounted chain and sprocket driven or via a direct drive outboard mounted motor, and is usually operated via a standard Up, Down and Stop push button station mounted on the control panel.
  3. Single Phase Power Operated -  A single phase 240 volt industrial motor is available for workplaces that do not have a 3-phase supply, but the motor has a more limited usage.

A manual over-ride facility on a continuous haul chain is provided as standard to enable the door to be manually raised in the event of a power failure.
