Secure Surrounds can offer two types of manual roller shutters:
Push Up / Pull Down - ideally suited to smaller openings where the usage is more limited. These are usually fitted using a pin lock.
Hand Chain Operation - these roller shutter doors are manually raised via a continuous haul chain, ideally suited to industrial premises. All hand chain roller shutter doors are supplied with a chain keep that hands the haul chain in position ensuring that the door cannot open.
Secure Surrounds can offer three methods of power operated roller shutters:
A manual over-ride facility on a continuous haul chain is provided as standard to enable the door to be manually raised in the event of a power failure.

If In the event that the internal brake within some motors or the drive chain should fail, this anti-fall back device will manually arrest the door within 300mm of the component failing.

A photocell sensor emits a light beam (visible or infrared) from its light-emitting element.A reflective-type photoelectric sensor is used to detect the light beam reflected from the target.A thrubeam type sensor is used to measure the change in light quantity caused by the target crossing the optical axis
Optical safety edge are fitted to the bottom edge of a door, and use a beam of light to detect obstacles. optical safety edge can be connected to control panels either through curly cable, or with a wireless WES system, which means the end of cable snag and is suitable for larger doors.
An interlock switch is primarily a safety measure. Used on our wicket doors, the interlock will make it non-operational if the wicket door is in the closed position - this preventing human error.
The conductive safety edge is a pressure-sensitive sensor applied to ensure the safety of closing edges at potential crushing or shearing points which are prone to accidents. They may be installed on industrial automated doors and gates in order to protect individuals from bodily harm or vehicles and machinery from damage.
